Ali Behar, LCSW
Ali Behar, LCSW, is a therapist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families using evidence‑based interventions and individualized care. Ali received her undergraduate degree from University of Pennsylvania and went on to receive her Masters in Social Work from NYU.
Ali works closely with children and their families to support better emotion regulation, social engagement, and positive behavior change. Ali has specialized training in a range of behavioral therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), social skills, applied behavioral analysis (ABA) and parent training. Ali is committed to educating parents and teachers in evidence‑based interventions tailored to fit a child’s individual needs, interests, and strengths.
Ali has worked with children and adolescents with a range of developmental and psychological conditions including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Prior to joining Mind Health Institute, Ali worked within a multi‑disciplinary team at ABC Child Programs at UCLA’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. Ali has also worked within UCLA’s Maternal Mental Health program, which specializes in the treatment of women experiencing life transitions, depression, anxiety, OCD, and post‑traumatic stress.
