Sophia Majeed, M.A., LMFT
Sophia Majeed is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who has always strived to help her patients by being supportive, collaborative and empathic in recognizing the challenges that life can present during their personal life journeys.
Sophia received her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in 2010. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Northridge.
Sophia’s areas of focus are anxiety, trauma, depression, relational struggles, acculturation issues, life transitions and adjustments. She has experience working with adults, couples, families, adolescents and children. Sophia is direct and non-judgmental in her approach in therapy, and works through a Bowen Family Systems and Psychodynamic perspective which focuses on differentiation of self, gaining awareness, insight, and understanding in order to have clarity on the underlying issues.
Additionally, Sophia gained her clinical training experiences by working in private practice, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology West LA Counseling Center, The Center for Individual and Family and Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center.
